“Making a Movie"

Roger Schutter’s “Making a Movie” lesson, which uses the Hollywood standard method of shooting single camera and editing the master shot with the medium and close up shots, to build a smoothly flowing story. He tells us what all the individual “Jobs” on the set are and what duties they perform. We see the set being put together and then altered so that we can shoot the opposite angles with the same camera.

We shoot the sequel to last year’s movie and this new short film is called, “Unexpected Turns” It follows Bill and Jennifer home on their anniversary.

This DVD also has a short section showing the wonderful display of equipment that Seth Hampton of CAM AUDIO brought with him to the MGT all the way from Texas. CAM AUDIO was the dealer for MGT 2010.

We start out with Stan Nasarzewski who designed and builds the “Amazing Brace” ( a camcorder support system) He talks about his development of the brace and how he has added a pivot device to turn it into a steady cam type tool. It is indeed an “Amazing Brace”

Then we see 13 different videos from our Family & Friends. Wow, what a fantastic collection of subjects and methods of editing. A great way of seeing what others like you….. are doing.

Lowell Brockway and Ken Smithers tell us about a really nice way of keeping in touch with your customers and a way of keeping you in their minds, so they’ll call you back for more work in the future.

They use “Send Out Cards” which are reasonably priced but are worth a lot in terms of holding on to good customers and capturing their friends and relatives for you in the future. A good investment in your business’s success to come. A simple concept that really works.

Chet Davis is back with his amazing program….”Cool DVD Menus” We all know that Chet has all the knowledge, and he makes it fun to learn when he is teaching us. The menus ARE really cool.

“The Gala Banquet"

“The Gala Banquet” On Thursday evening, the March Get Together comes to a close with the Banquet. This is the night when we have a great meal and get a chance to talk even more with our Family or Friends. We have a large number of drawings which give away thousands of dollars of software and other goodies from MacroSystem and our dealer for the 2010 MGT…..CAM AUDIO.

Then we have the pleasant task of sitting back and having Chet Davis sing to us and to Jim Meeker and Seth Hampton with songs and lyrics that he made up just today. It’s a blast.

Chet keeps the evening going by showing off new software that isn’t out yet but will be very shortly. He tells us about Store-n-Share and a new software titler called Title Studio which is a real step forward for us. This thing is really nice and will allow us to do things we didn’t think possible on a Cassie.

Then the final drawing of the convention. It’s for a new Macrosystem S-2000 video editor. Look at this DVD to see which one of our friends is the new owner of this great digital editor now.

With this drawing it brings the total prizes awarded at the 2010 MGT to $4,600.00.

Another reason why you should start planning to attend the 2011 MGT in Davenport, Iowa at the Clarion Hotel in Conference Center from March 7th through the 10th. Also Chet will be doing 2... two day workshops next Spring, the first is a beginning/intermediate workshop on March 6th and 7th….. and the advanced two day workshop will be immediately after the MGT on March 11th and 12th…... Be There!

The individual DVDs are $15.00 each and there are 11 total which would be $165.00 for all of them. But if you order the complete set you can get all eleven DVDs for just $125.00. They are custom made as orders come in so allow about two weeks for delivery.
