March Get Together - The Original Casablanca Users Group

Another March Get Together has been completed and "Wow',
what a time we had. The new location was wonderful and we have already set the dates there for next year.
It'll be March 9th through the 12th of 2009.

I want to thank all of the great Cassie Users who attended
the 2008 event. It was and IS just like a family reunion of friends.
We get to know everyone a little better each year and constantly
find new talent hidden within us all.

We discovered the hidden talent within Bobbie Evoy.
She and Don Simmons put on a wonderful presentation about doing music videos. It was fantastic.
Then they actually created one while we were there at the Clarion Hotel and surprised everyone with finished DVD of the music video.

It was so much fun watching that DVD we all were laughing and crying at the same time. Bobbie and Don make a great team.
By the way, Bobbie lives in Flint, Mi. & Don lives in Newnan, Georgia and they ship hard drive sleds back and forth between them and even take photos on their cell phones during a shoot and give live directions back and forth to help the shoot. Talk about how electronics has changed our world. Now that's instant communication.

You won't believe the scenes in the finished video where several famous members of the Cassie family get knocked into the swimming pool
with their clothes on²..... it's something to see.

The patio party was great fun and an enjoyable time and everyone filled up on snacks and beverages provided by our local "Tri-City Cinema and Video Club"

In addition to Jörg and Chet coming and providing valuable demonstrations of software and new hardware like the upcoming
S-4000 Pro and Bogart SE, I must thank my operations manager,
Mr. Earnie Pannebaker, and good friend Michael Gunderson
for making the technical end of things work so well in a brand new location. We moved the bar a little higher this year and they are the ones who made that possible.

But most of all, I want to thank the folks who came to the 4th Annual March Get Together. We had a great time and you people are what makes any event a success, and because of you guys and gals, we just had another great meeting. Thanks to all of you who attended.

To those who didn't come this year, I'm sorry you missed a great meeting, but please start planning NOW for next year's event, OK!

The Premiere Event for Cassie Users The March Get Together has grown to become the Premiere Event in the Casablanca Users' Year. It's the one folks are talking about and is the place to be in March each year. People attend from all over the United States and Canada. We even have had folks from the UK.
